For head chefs and kitchen leads

True plate costs, an allergen answer in seconds, and a board that survives the Wi-Fi.

ChowChirp keeps recipe costs current from real invoices, tells the floor what is safe and what is short, and runs the kitchen board from a node in your own shop.

Where you are

Your recipe costs were right the day you wrote them. Prices moved, portions drifted, and now the menu price is a feeling. The allergy question at the counter ends up at your pass. And when the internet drops mid-service, the chits do too.

ChowChirp keeps the cost honest, answers the allergen question without you, and keeps the board alive.

What changes

  • Plate cost from real prices

Each approved invoice updates the price behind every recipe. The docket tells you on target, watch or over.

  • What is short before service

The feasibility board checks each dish against the last physical count of its ingredients.

  • An allergen answer for the floor

The matrix covers 14 allergen codes, including modifiers. Filter by the guest's allergies and hand the safe list to the server.

  • Stations that see only their work

Tickets route by station and course. Bump, problem, recall, remake. The expo lands the table together.

  • 86 with a reason

Stockout, prep shortage or equipment down. The whole floor sees it at once.

  • Cooking and cooling controls in the flow

Probe, pass, fail. Cooling stages with deadlines. Discard prompts when a stage is missed.

A day with ChowChirp

  1. 9:00

Check feasibility. Sotong sambal is at risk: squid is below two services. Tell purchasing.

  2. 11:30

Service. Two stations, one expo. A remake on table 12 is recorded, not argued.

  3. 14:00

Rendang cost docket says watch. Open it. Beef went up on last week's invoice.

  4. 16:00

Cooling log for the rendang batch. Stage one passed with 40 minutes to spare.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change a recipe myself?

Recipe changes are made with the onboarding team for now so that costs and allergens stay consistent. In-app editing is on the roadmap.

Is the board loud enough for a kitchen?

It is built for glare and gloves: dark theme, large targets, no hover. It is visual only for now; a chime is on the roadmap.

What happens if the tablet dies?

Move to the designated spare station, or fall back to numbered paper tickets. The service day continues on the node.
