ChowChirp never shows a generic "Success". Every outcome is named for the fact it represents. This page lists them.

## Command outcomes

Any action you take moves through these states. The outcome panel shows the current one and the next permitted step.

| State             | Meaning                                                                                                    |
| ----------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Draft             | Not yet submitted                                                                                          |
| Submitting        | Sent, waiting for the server                                                                               |
| Rejected          | The server refused it; the reason is shown                                                                 |
| Accepted locally  | Recorded on the device or node, not yet confirmed by the cloud                                             |
| Canonicalised     | Recorded as a business fact                                                                                |
| External queued   | Sent to an outside system (printer, provider), not yet accepted                                            |
| External accepted | The outside system accepted the request; the outcome is still pending                                      |
| Completed         | The exact outcome happened, labelled precisely: _Kitchen accepted_, _Receipt printed_, _Terminal captured_ |
| Failed            | It did not happen; the reason is shown                                                                     |
| Unknown           | The result could not be confirmed. Retry and reroute are removed; follow the recovery link                 |
| Recovery required | A person must resolve it through the recovery flow                                                         |
| Recovered         | The recovery flow resolved it                                                                              |
| Reversed          | A compensating entry undid it                                                                              |
| Cancelled         | Withdrawn before it took effect                                                                            |

> **Important:** _Unknown_ is not a failure. Do not retry a payment or re-send a kitchen ticket from an unknown state. Open the recovery step; a late confirmation may resolve it.

## Documents

| Status              | Meaning                                                       |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Needs review        | Scanned and read; waiting for a person                        |
| Approved            | Approved and posted to Payables                               |
| Approval incomplete | The bill approval did not finish; use **Approve to Payables** |
| Blocked             | Failed or quarantined by the scan                             |
| Duplicate blocked   | Matched an existing file; override available                  |
| Disposed            | File content removed; record kept                             |

## Payables

| Status                         | Meaning                                                       |
| ------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Matched                        | Bill, purchase order and delivery agree                       |
| Variance                       | They disagree; a reason is required                           |
| Unmatched                      | No purchase order or delivery reference                       |
| Scheduled                      | A payment date is set                                         |
| Settled, Disputed, Written off | The recorded outcome after you paid (or did not) in your bank |

Aging buckets: current, 1 to 30, 31 to 60, 61 to 90, over 90 days.

## Kitchen tickets

Queued, done, problem, voided, recalled, remaking. Station work items move through dispatch requested, kitchen accepted, kitchen completed, plated, handed off.

Service day: not started, prep, service, closing, closed.

## 86 reasons

Stockout, prep shortage, equipment down, food-safety hold, staff skill unavailable, manual.

## Alerts

Active, unacknowledged, acknowledged, snoozed, resolved, false alarm. Temperature alerts show the product-decision band: under 2 hours, 2 to 4 hours, over 4 hours.

## Corrective actions

Created, assigned, in progress, completed, verified, reopened, cancelled. After verification: effective or ineffective.

## Proposals

Drafted, presented, approved, executing, executed, measuring, measured, dismissed. Risk classes: r0 information, r1 low, r2 bounded operations, higher classes need elevated approval.

## Sync pill

Synced, syncing, offline, and a bounded pending count. The pill reports transport freshness only. It never means an action was accepted or a configuration is ready.
