The schedule checks these rules on every change, on the device, and again on the server when you publish. Warnings can be overridden with a reason; blocking issues cannot.

## Blocking rules

| Rule | Trigger | Fix |
| ------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Expired foreign-worker permit | The person's permit expiry is before the shift date | Record the renewed permit under **Team › Compliance**, or roster someone else |
| Missing or expired food-handler certificate | A food-contact station and no valid food-handler training or anti-typhoid record | Record the certificate under **Team › Training & certs** |
| Blocked certification gap | The station requires a certification the person lacks | Assign training or roster someone qualified |

## Warning rules

| Rule | Trigger |

| Minor after curfew | A person under 18 rostered into restricted hours |
| Shift over 12 hours | A single shift longer than 12 hours including breaks |
| Week over 55 hours | Total rostered hours in the week exceed 55 |
| Insufficient rest | Less than the required rest between the end of one shift and the start of the next |
| Leave overlap | The person has approved leave on that day |
| Cross-outlet float | The person is rostered at an outlet other than their home outlet |
| Expired typhoid certificate | The anti-typhoid record has lapsed |

## Overriding a warning

Open the cell, choose **Override**, type the reason, and tick **Employee agreed**. The override is stored with the shift and shown on the published roster.

## Coverage and cost

Under each day the roster shows coverage against the minimum staffing you set and, with analytics access, scheduled labour cost against same-day sales. Labour above 32% of sales is shown in red. These are informational, not blocking.

## Scope

These rules reflect the Employment Act 1955 as amended in 2022 for Peninsular Malaysia and Labuan. Sabah and Sarawak differ; outlets there see a banner rather than a wrong number. The rules help you comply; they do not replace your HR adviser.
